Key Features: Workflow and Integration
Project and Content-based Workflow
The workflow module allows you to easily assign tasks and
monitor the status of content development and deployment on your site.
Tasks are set up for all the required
assets (e.g. images) that must be provided for a particular content type.
| |
Key workflow features include: |
|
|
·
Tasks are
organized by project. Projects can be organized by project groups. |
|
|
·
Tasks can
have precedents, such that one task must be completed and approved before
the next task can be started. |
|
|
·
Task
approval processes and rejection cycles are role-based and user-defined. |
|
|
·
Based on
content types, the workflow module provides flexible reporting, e.g. how
many people are working on articles. |
|
|
·
Workflow
interfaces with content publishing to restrict deployment of unapproved
content. |
Tasks are either owned or assigned. Task owners can
reassign or cancel tasks. User-definable, role-based relationships (e.g.
administrator, developer, writer) can be assigned to any content object.
Workflow Home Page
The workflow home page provides an easy-to-use
interface to manage projects or check the status of action items.
Based on a user’s assigned role, the home page
includes an inbox and outbox showing tasks to be completed or approved, tasks
that have been cancelled and other alerts. User-configurable e-mail
notification of action items is supported.
Interwoven Integration
Pervasent’s system can import content from an
Interwoven TeamSite repository.
J2EE Compliance
While the current product is based on ATG Dynamo,
a new J2EE-compliant version will be released in Q3 2003 to take advantage of J2EE-compliant application servers, such as BEA WebLogic and IBM WebSphere.
